Taylor is in the 5th grade at Jefferson elementary school in Pierre, SD. She loves to dance and care for animals. She has such a loving heart and enjoys helping with her little brother and sister.
Taylor will be undergoing bilateral femur derotation osteotomy. She will undergo 3 surgeries in all. Her first surgery is on Sept. 3. They will do each leg one at a time, basically break the femur bone and plate it back in straight. After we leave Shriner's she will be non weight bearing and be wheel chair bound for 6 weeks. Taylor is not nervous about her surgeries but her mom and dad are.
This link will allow you to directly make a donation to a Shriner's Hospital of your choice we use twin cities. Shriner's is an awesome organization that is allowing Taylor to get the best medical care possible for free. However beings we are so far from home their are many expenses that will not be covered. If you'd like to make a donation to the family contact them or Heather Ellenbecker through facebook.
Any donations sent directly to the family will help pay for Taylor's ongoing care including wheelchair, physical therapy, travel to and from hospital, and hotels and I'm sure more expenses that are unknown yet.
Thank you for your time in reading this and any donations are much appreciated.
We will post on update after her first surgery. Thanks again
