Shriners Hospitals for Children -- Galveston reopened last week, after being closed for more than a year due to damage from Hurricane Ike. Services will resume in phases, beginning with patients needing reconstructive surgery.

Researchers at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California have identified a gene in mice that may uncover the fundamental mechanisms of cleft lip and palate, a common birth anomaly affecting about one in 700 children. Read more>>
